Rev. Julia Kristeller is an ordained Interfaith Minister with over 30 years experience in educational, healthcare, community and spiritual settings. In addition to her work at SPSA, she is also on the staff of the Psychotherapy & Spirituality Institute (PSI) where since 2002, she has been providing creative support services to the Muslim/Arab community in Brooklyn and post 9/11 support for case-workers, first responders, and other professionals. With a strong background in Creative Art Therapies, she designed and facilitated innovative special projects around NYC post 9/11 through the School of Visual Arts.
Over the years, she has helped generate numerous interfaith events with other faith leaders in NYC. Rev. Kristeller has been a consultant for Children’s Television Workshop, Trinity Church Wall Street, UNICEF, Healthy Families, Cross-Cultural International Institute, UMCOR, United Methodists Seminars, and myriad other programs, and is a former Editor-in-Chief for Scholastic’s Early Childhood Professional and Parenting magazines and books. She is also the founder of Ovations! Consulting, helping professionals access their creativity and humanity and the humanity of those they work with and serve. As an educator for over 25 years, she has taught kindergarten through graduate school and has presented at conferences both nationally and internationally. She has also worked extensively with patients, staff and families in hospice and hospitals, and served on the national Board of Directors of the Society for the Arts and Healthcare.
