Friends,
I’ve been thinking this week about the ‘cloud of witnesses’ who have been part of my life, and the life of this church, over the past decades. So many beloved friends and family members who have died, but are still with me in an almost tangible way. And I’ve been feeling very grateful.
This Sunday, November 2nd, we will celebrate All Saints Day, a day for remembering and honoring the many people whose love, work, prayers, and support helped each of us become who we are becoming. There will be a time during the service to call out the names of those sainted ones. And, after receiving communion, we’ll invite you, if you wish, to light a candle in their memory. Communion of the saints, indeed.
And, we’ll be baptizing Arden Fiadh Lee Baxter, the child of Carter & Kiah Baxter!
