Nathanael said to Philip, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” – John 1:46
Friends,
We all come from somewhere. But where we’re from doesn’t define who we are.
Nathanael is skeptical about Jesus. Could this nobody from nowhere be worthy of his notice? And so, the question, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” The answer isn’t a simple yes or no. Instead, Philip gives him an invitation, “Come and see.”
Join us this Sunday as we celebrate where we’re from and lean into the people we need to be now. And celebrate the One who has, in the words of James Weldon Johnson, “brought us thus far on the way”.
