What Did We See?

Sunday, April 14 at 11:00 am | Bulletin

“Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him.” Luke 24:31

When it comes to the Risen Christ, it seems like believing is seeing.

Walking on the road to Emmaus that evening of Easter, two disciples encounter Jesus. But, of course, they don’t recognize him. He speaks to them, teaching them, but even though their hearts are burning, they still don’t see it’s him. They invite him to stay with them, and he comes with them, and they still can’t tell it’s Jesus. Only when he feeds them, blessing and breaking bread for them, are their eyes finally open.

Join us this Sunday, with burning hearts, believing souls, and open eyes. Maybe Jesus will show up.

Love, K
