Worship for August 28, 2022

Those worshipping in person should bring and wear a mask during the service. Masks will be available if you do not have one when you arrive. Windows and doors will also remain open during the services for additional air circulation, and ice water will be available.

Travel Mercies

Sunday, August 28 at 10 am

“As they were going along the road, someone said to him, ‘I will follow you wherever you go.’”  Luke 9:57

I arrived last night (after a 23-hour flight!) from a week in Cape Town, South Africa with the Tutu Center and General Seminary. As I shared with many of you before leaving for this journey, South Africa figures prominently in my own decision to follow Jesus into ordained ministry, and so it was deeply meaningful to return there after 40 years. Thank you for your prayers for traveling mercies– they more than worked!

This Sunday, I’ll offer a bit of an initial reflection on this recent trip as we think together about where we are, individually and collectively, in this journey of life!  Come walk with us.
