Tenth Sunday after Pentecost
Today’s Readings: Genesis 16:1-13 & Genesis 21:14-19
This weekend we will revisit the story of Hagar and “El Roi”–“The God who sees” through the lens of #BLM and #JusticeforBreonnaTaylor. Despite the ways in which society treats black people, black women in particular, immigrants, poor people, oppressed and marginalized people, God has always been attuned to this plight. So many who have come before us have taken comfort in the God who sees and provides every time. -Rev. Dr. Dorlimar Lebrón Malave
