“When the wine gave out, the mother of Jesus said to him, ‘They have no wine.'” – John 2:3

What do we do when the wine gives out?

I’ve been thinking about that question metaphorically this week. Haven’t we all been feeling drained? Drained of energy, drained of our hopefulness, even drained of compassion?

What do we do?

In our Gospel reading for Sunday, the mother of Jesus knows what to do when such a problem arises. She takes it to Jesus.
