“There, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising, until it stopped.” Matthew 2:9

Happy Epiphany! The Epiphany (literally, a sudden appearance, as in the sunrise) marks the moment when Jesus is seen by the Wise Ones, who find him after a journey triggered by a star-rise.

They are guided by that star, Matthew tells us, until they reach Bethlehem. But what then? What do they do after the star stops?

Then, they have a choice to make. Return to King Herod as instructed? Or go another way?

So often we feel stuck in a certain pattern, a certain course of action. But to be human is to have choices. You have choices.
