Worship for March 19, 2023

Sunday, March 19 at 11 am | Bulletin

“When Jesus saw the person lying there and knew that he had been there a long time, Jesus said to him, ‘Do you want to be made well?'” John 5:6
Do you want to be made well? There are times I’ve asked myself that question. My hurts and ailments, my indignity over petty injustices, my cherished limitations and delusions, are too familiar, too dear. Do I really want to move on? Do I want to be free of them?
Do you want to be made well? Jesus asks that specific question to a specific man at a specific spot at a specific moment in time. But he asks the same thing to me. And to you. We’ll gather Sunday, if we’re willing to risk the possibility that things could be different.

P.S. This Sunday, we will take up an offering during worship for the United Methodist Committee on Relief, UMCOR. The UMCOR Sunday offering underwrites UMCOR’s administrative costs, allowing UMCOR to use 100% of all funds given to humanitarian response and recovery efforts directly to communities in need. These gifts ensure UMCOR can respond swiftly to disasters around the world and as a source of hope and healing for those left most vulnerable. On our giving page, select Give to 2.
