With these words Jesus shows us that life stretches on after death. And so, we come to All Saints Sunday secure in the knowledge that all those imperfect saints we celebrate are, in a very real sense, still with us. And still with God.

This Sunday we will also celebrate the 125th anniversary of the dedication of this wonderfully quirky building. So I am finding myself filled with gratitude for the amazing people I never knew whose vision built, sustained, and expanded a ministry in this place that they could scarcely have imagined. Thanks be to God!

And I am gratefully aware of the saints among us who are right now daring to dream of an amazing future here, well into this century and beyond.
