Reformation: Our Part in the Progress

October 24 at 11 a.m. | Bulletin

This Sunday, we are delighted to welcome Rev. Doris Dalton as our guest preacher. Rev. Dalton, who serves the New York Annual Conference as Director of Leadership Development and Intercultural Competency, will guide our continued reformation reflection. We’ll be focused on the essential re-formation that needs to take place within ourselves, necessitated by our ongoing anti-racist work both individually and as a community.

To prepare our minds and hearts for Sunday’s worship, Rev. Dalton asks us to do some reflection and journaling beforehand.
* How have you encountered racial injustice?
* What have been your realizations and revelations in confronting racism, within and outside of yourself?
Write these stories down and bring them to Sunday’s worship.

To continue the learning beyond the worship service, Rev. Dalton will also lead a training session, “Reforming our Intentions” on Wednesday, October 27th, from 6-7:30pm.  We encourage all of our community to come to the worship service and the training session, so that we can continue to take responsibility for our continued reformation and growth.
