Donate Clothing To Support Asylum Seekers

Thank you for your interest in donating items to support our efforts. Due to limited personnel and space capacity, we can only receive items the day prior to our Monday Clothing Resource fair.
We take items on designated days when we have a crew of volunteers to receive and sort them. Want to volunteer? Visit my.lotsahelpinghands.com/request/spsasanctuary to learn more and signup. Unable to bring items on a Sunday but still want to donate? With prior notice we can also accept donations on the Mondays (8-9:15am) that we have our clothing resource fair. Contact Susie (susie@susiereiss.com) to request this with 3 days’ notice.
ACCEPTED ITEMS:
- Men’s, women’s and children;s clothing (in season), including shoes (not formal shoes)
- New socks and undergarments
- Toys, including stuffed animals (nothing enormous or with complicated instructions)
- Spanish books
- Backpacks, purses
- Strollers & baby carriers (high need)
- Bicycles & scootersÂ
- Fresh Direct Bags (to help us sort)
WE CANNOT ACCEPT
- Books in English
- Housewares (including sheets, blankets, and towels)
- Business or formal attire (blazers, formal wear…)
- Used undergarments or stained/torn clothing

The Sharing Place/LSA Family Health Service, 333 E 115 (no books)
Housing Works Various locations including 96/Bway (no kids clothing, no toys)
All Angels Church 251 W 80 St (only mens & womens clothing, M-F, 10am-4pm, Sun 12-8pm)
