Hand in Hand We Heal: A Gathering for 10/7 and this Year of Sorrow

October 6 | 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Together with Women of Vision and Tomorrow’s Women, NYC Friends of Standing Together,  B’nai Jeshurun, Romemu and St. Paul & St. Andrew, Lab/Shul invites you to a special program on the Eve of 10/7. We will gather to hold the pain together, Israelis and Palestinians, people of different faiths, united in grief and hopes for healing, to remember the losses of this terrible day and all the terrible days that followed, to hold each other’s pain and share visions for a future of repair, justice, and peace–for all.

In the middle of this ongoing conflict, and in the midst of the Jewish season of repentance, reconciliation and repair, we join remarkable Jewish Israeli and Palestinian women from three organizations – Tomorrow’s Women, Women of Vision, and Standing Together – all working to weave a new narrative of coexistence, and to build new leadership for a shared future of hope, dignity and lasting peace. They will share their stories and vision, creating space for us to share our sorrow, hurts, and hopes.

Following the event, there will be an option for continued conversation with Tomorrow’s Women, or a walk to the Hudson River for an adapted Tashlich (casting away) ritual, to shed some of our pain, rage, and despair.

This event is free.
