Phonobellow: A Large-Scale Sound Installation/Sculpture

August 28 | 2:45 pm - 4:30 pm

Artists David Adamcyk and Zosha Di Castri are preparing for a photo/video shoot at in our Sanctuary to document the evolution of their interdisciplinary Phonobellow project, a large-scale sound installation/sculpture inspired by the birth of photography and phonography.

The sculpture can be experienced as a standalone object but is also designed to be animated by improvised interventions.

On Wednesday, August 28th, percussionists Sae Hashimoto and Russell Greenberg (of Yarn/Wire) will improvise with the sculpture, and Zosha and David are looking for a mock-audience to be a part of the video documentation. Guests are invited to arrive promptly at 2:45 pm. There will be two 30 minute performances which will be filmed (at approximately 3:00pm and 4:00pm) to get different camera angles and perspectives, finishing at 4:30pm (possibly earlier).

Zosha and David would welcome anyone from the St. Paul & St. Andrew community who are curious to attend the entirety of one or both performances and be a part of the documentation.
