Brent Ness (he/him) has served as the Director of Operations at St. Paul & St. Andrew since 2019. In this role, Brent performs a variety of functions, including fielding inquiries for space usage and coordinating event plans with various stakeholders, managing facilities, communications and finance functions, and coordinating logistics for worship services, including directing the church’s livestream. A typical week for Brent involves preparing the Sunday bulletin, facilitating inspiring worship experiences, and supporting the diverse activities that take place within the church’s walls—whether it’s aiding neighbors in need or collaborating with artists and musicians to bring performances to life. With a background steeped in arts administration, including notable tenures at the Metropolitan Opera and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Brent’s expertise enriches and elevates the experiences of those who participate in the ministry of St. Paul & St. Andrew, as well as the programs and partners who share our space.
A graduate of The Hartt School at the University of Hartford, Brent holds a degree in violin performance and has managed a concert series at a church in Washington Heights for nearly two decades. Outside of his professional endeavors, Brent indulges in watching copious amounts of Law & Order and passionately follows Minnesota sports teams.
