Recovering from Spiritual Amnesia

Fifth Sunday After the Epiphany | Bulletin

We are nearing the end of Epiphany and we are at the start of Black History Month. The intersection of those two seasons was on my mind and heart as we shaped the worship service for this coming Sunday. In scripture, song, and sermon, we’ll think about how some things ought not be an epiphany to us…chief among them, the power and presence of God. The sacrament of communion will guide our remembrance, where in bread and cup and community, we can experience again the very real presence of Jesus among us. Let’s not forget that.

Peace,
Pastor Lea
