Now's the Time!

A Community Campaign for St. Paul & St. Andrew United Methodist Church

“We have been too quiet for too long. There comes a time when you have to say something. You have to make a little noise. You have to move your feet. NOW IS THE TIME.” John Lewis

Our Strength is in our Outreach and Welcome

St. Paul & St. Andrew United Methodist Church (SPSA) commands the corner of 86th Street and West End Avenue as a bastion for justice, compassion, and love in action. We live out our Christian values inside and outside of its mighty walls. We a are a welcoming and inclusive congregation, building upon our long history while renewing and strengthening our commitment to our Upper West Side neighborhood and the world every day.

Together with our interfaith partners and neighbors, we work to increase the amount of hope and justice in the world, by putting love into action. Whether advocating on behalf of our LGBTQI siblings, immigrant families, the unhoused, or girls and women working to escape human trafficking, we are a catalyst for love-inspired action and social justice.

Our history parallels the growth and spirited energy of New York City, as well as its challenges. Like the city, SPSA is resilient and full of vibrancy. We meet each ebb and flow in faith and with open arms to both our congregation and community, offering a place of refuge to those looking for spiritual affirmation as well as those in need of sanctuary.

Over the decades SPSA has meet the challenges with social outreach projects that offered a haven as well as staunch advocacy for those often forgotten.
